On this drive, after being out for about three and a half hours, we were on a one lane road with heavy bush on both sides.  It was completely dark except for a spotlight on the vehicle and the Rover's headlights.  Suddenly, we discovered we had a flat tire.  All vehicles are connected by radio and are in constant touch with each other primarily to tell others about game spottings.  However, this particular location seemed extremely remote.  The ranger and tracker hopped out of the vehicle and had the huge tire changed in less than five minutes.  Later, in the bar before dinner, the ranger told me he once had three flat tires on one drive.
