On our last sightseeing day of the trip, we visited the Anchorage Museum of History and Art.  This is a wonderful museum with very comprehensive exhibits on Alaskan history (743-747) plus an art museum featuring many Alaskan artists, including several landscapes by beloved Alaskan painter Sydney Laurence (748).

Later, on a one hour whirlwind tour of Anchorage, we saw a home perfectly protected from Alaska's elements (underground-753).  Photo 754 shows the street where the Iditarod race begins and photo 755 shows the huge seaplane landing area at the Anchorage airport--it seems like everyone has their own plane to get from town to town.
